Synopsis
The word "Gu Jing" means "story", and we like to refer to "storytelling" here as "talking about Gu Jing". The film is about a group of elderly people in the remote mountains of southern Shaanxi. The film uses interviews and documentaries to show the life and spiritual world of the elderly in the countryside, and depicts the life and death trajectories of the old people in a group style.
Director biography
Hu Tao was born in Shanxi province. He studied cinematography at Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts and graduated in 2015. He joined the Folk Memory Project in 2013. His film Dumb Man nominated for the TAIWAN International Documentary Film Festival “Chinese Documentary Award”.
