This is my fifth film shot in the village where I have been filming for five years. This film is related to my activity last winter: building a library in the village. This film focuses on this story and narrates how I worked on the library together with a group of kids, and tried to make the villagers understand the project, which was very difficult, but brought hope for the village’s future. So, I called the core of the activity and the film “building a bridge”.

Zhang Mengqi was born in 1987. She graduated from the Dance Academy of China’s Minorities University in 2008. Since 2009, she has been a resident artist at CCD Workstation.
